The Parson
~Day -12~
Well it
is day 12 on our journey and we have all gotten to know each other fairly well.
At first when we a started to get to
know each other all we wanted was for the others to see our good qualities and
never the bad. As the days went on I started
to notice the, how should I say this, the not so good qualities in people. Let’s
talk the nun for example, at first I thought that she was just like any other
nun, wanting to help the poor and that she cared for the better of the group
and not so much about herself. Within a
few days I started to notice that she was feeding her animals food that was
perfect for the not so fortunate, and poor. When I asked her why she was
feeding them good food her reply was, “Well you don’t think that my dogs should
be eating just as well as we are. What do you suggest I feed them, scraps?”
With this statement I realized she is not your average nun.
About three
days ago we were on the move and one of the peasant girls tripped and broke her
arm. A couple of people such as the nun and the Summoner wanted to just keep
going and leave her behind. I being the man that I am insisted we stop to help
the girl, she was in obvious pain and could not go on. I talked to the Doctor and asked him what he thought
we should do and he said stop so he could set her arm. Now the doctor is the
kind of man that likes his money but that is not all he thinks about, he is
also concerned about his patients and how he can help them. Once the Doctor and
myself convinced everyone that the girl needed help and that she would not be
able to continue on without it, most of the group agreed to stop. At the end of today I realized that there are
many types of people on this journey and depending on how well we get along
will depend on how enjoyable this trip is going to be.
