Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson was born on April 13, 1743 in Albemarle County, Virginia.he started school at the young are of nine. When he turned sixteen he enrolled in The College of William and Marry. Once there he studded mathematics, metaphysics, and philosophy. Jefferson was a very dedicated student. On average he would study fifteen hours a day. While he was still at school he learned how to play the violin and became intrigued by the arts. Once he graduated he went to practice law with George Wythe in the Virginia Bar.
Thomas Jefferson had many jobs during his life time. He most know for being the third president of the United States of America. He is also known for being vice-president under president John Adams. There are many jobs that Jefferson had he was a teacher, philosopher, historian, public official, and a plantation owner.
Jefferson was the third oldest of eight children. he married his wife Martha Wayles Skelton Jefferson on January 1,1772. Thomas and Martha had six children, but only to mad it past early childhood. The two that lived were Martha (called Patsy) and Maria (called Polly). In September, 1782 Martha past a way leaving Jefferson and two little girls.
One of Jefferson's quotes is " Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom." When Thomas Jefferson said this he was saying the only way to know what is real and true in life, you have to be true to yourself and others around you. He is also saying that you can't cut yourself short, if you want people to believe in you then you have to believe in you first. Jefferson is one of the most laid back president we have ever had and because of that people responded to him, and because people responded that makes him on of the greats leaders we have had.
